Three-deck, all-weather, 2-engines ship Zaysan

Such a tour could be taken on two types of vessel. One - the most convenient, safety and comfortable - is the three-deck, all-weather, 2-engines ships Baikal and Zaysan. These ships are the only ones at the Lake, which can go practically in any weather and have enough facilities to stay on them for a week. There is a cosy restaurant with a bar, showers, toilets, double and triple rooms. They can take up to 20 passengers on board. Cruise speed is 20 kmphr. Approximate cost is $2,500 per day incl. 3 meals.


Yaroslavets boat.

Another, more popular and less expensive boat, is the Yaroslavets-type more simple vessel. The main advantage of these boats is their ability to land practically anywhere, what is very important for cruises at the Lake. The boat has 3 rooms for 3-4 people each, a kitchen, and a toilet. Maximum speed is 22 kmphr. Day of rent is $350 per day.

What is good about a cruise is that you have a wonderful chance to visit the most interesting places on Baikal in one week, you stay on your boat and do not need change of transport and accommodation very often. Usually a boat goes at night and you spend a whole day in a picturesque place. Cruises provide a variety of activities such as fishing and photography.

Day 1. Arrive Ulan Ude

Day 3.Ulan Ude - Ust Barguzin

Day 4.Ust Barguzin - Zabaikalsky National park
